BIOGRAPHY

Originally from Galicia, Spain, Sanroman background is in Business as well as in Fine Art Photography. She graduated from London College of Communication In 2008. Since then, she has been involved in a number of exhibitions, presenting her own work as well as organizing group exhibitions.

In October 2008 she was shortlisted for the Generacion 2008, and one year later she published the photo essay Women looking at Women: The female gaze. She has been shortlisted this year for the V PHOTOGRAPHY SANTANDER CREATIVA AWARD, FOCONORTE.

She has recently assisted international renowned photographer Tom Hunter in several commissions; Including SHELTER’S “House of Cards”, Museum of London’s “Flashback” and Serpentine Gallery “A Palace for Us”.

She is a co-founder and a current member of Artcrunch (a curatorial partnership) and Centrepoint Collective. She is also involved with award winning New Opera Hero Project.

Susana currently combines free-lance work as photographer and curator with her personal artist practice.

Originaria de Galicia, España, Sanromán tiene una formación tanto en el sector empresarial como artística. En el año 2008 se graduaría en fotografía por el London College of Communication. Desde entonces, ha participado en numerosas exposiciones, tanto como artista como comisaria de arte.

En octubre del 2008 seria seleccionada finalista de Generación 2008 Caja Madrid, y un año más tarde publicaría su primer ensayo fotográfico ‘Women looking at Women: The female Gaze’.

Recientemente ha sido  finalista  del V Premio de Fotografia Digital Santander Creativa-Foconorte expuesto en el Centro Cultural Doctor Madrazo.

Susana ha asistido al afamado artista internacional Tom Hunter durante los últimos 3 años en varias comisiones. Incluyendo Shelter ‘House of Cards’. Museum of London ‘Flashback’ y Serpentine Gallery  ‘A Palace for Us’.

Susana es cofundadora y miembro activo de los colectivos ARTCRUCH (comisariado de arte) y de CENTREPOINT COLLECTIVE (fotografía). También participa en el proyecto NEW OPERA HERO, galardonado con varios premios.

Sanromán actualmente combina su práctica artística como fotógrafa y comisaria de arte independiente. Vive y trabaja en Londres.
